| Because of the difficulty of keeping current events questions truly current, we will no longer attempt to include such questions in our packets, though we will retain in older packets those that have taken on historical significance or those with answers calling for general knowledge. |

| Each packet of 60-second lightning rounds (also called “theme rounds” and “category rounds”) includes 7 sets of 10 subject-related questions that can be read within a 60-second time period. Answers are now to the left. |

| *Questions are also available in a paired format in which the odd-numbered question is usually related by discipline to the even-numbered and more difficult question that follows, thereby allowing the possibility of using these questions in a toss-up/bonus competition.
